Which Star is a Galaxy?

Yesterday Jermain Kaminski and Michael Schober launched their new movie script analysis database on the Web, called moviegalaxies. This is a greatly extended version of Michael Schober's earlier movie script analysis project. It basically constructs social networks of movie scripts, of who is talking to whom in movies such as "Babel", "Space Odyssey", or "A Few Good Men". Michael Schober, Paul Willems, and Johannes Putzke even have shown in a paper at NetSci 2010 that the communication structure of actors predicts financial success of a movie: In his Master's thesis Paul found out that in order to be financially successful, a movie's communication network needs to follow the power law.
